Hyphen, hyphen, go away ... come again another day.

This e-mail is also an offender in the world of Arbitrary Capitalization. I'm unlikely to do it myself but am much less a stickler on the failure to use a comma following Hi, even though it's technically correct to use one. Because sometimes you just don't want a pause there.
But wait, there's more (from the same person):

Owwww, it hurts. It physically hurts.

That hyphen is sickening. Somewhere, some evil person decided that "thank you" needs Arbitrary Capitalization, as it seems to be widespread.
From yesterday: "Thank You Thank You Thank You! We are so thrilled to have been selected."
I actually get upset when people write "Hi, Alex," in e-mails. It's taking grammar too far, as hard as it is to acknowledge that there's such a line.
Sweet blog! I'm anal about grammar as well and am linking to this site on my blog, which is much less interesting.
I, too, hate that. And I hate when prepositions are tacked on to the end of a sentence like band-aids or duct tape. Furthermore, I really can't stand text message English either - u, 2, wuz, lol, 2marow, y, w8, etc. Oh, and lolcatz are simply pathetic.
Poor grammar can be so painful! *wail*
